What is an ITIN?

An ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) is a U.S. tax ID for foreign individuals who don’t qualify for a Social Security Number.

Why do I need one?

You need an ITIN to report rental income, file U.S. tax returns, pay taxes on your property, and often to open bank accounts or complete real estate transactions in the U.S. Including FIRPTA withholding

How do I get one?
